Gun Show Report - Denver
I went to the Tanner Gun show over the weekend. Here's what I noticed:
-I got there 1.5 hours before the doors opened. I, along with a handful of others, were first in line. By the time the doors opened, dual lines going both ways from the entrance doors were 2-3 blocks long and growing. -Dealers were marking up ammo prices dramatically. The going rate for a case of 1000 7.62x39 was $350-400. One man had a couple of sealed boxes of 1120 rounds from Yugoslavia (I think they're from Yugoslavia) for $475 each!!! -In conversations with other gun show goers, I heard one man express a desire to see Obama assasinated. Wow. I am only reporting this, I do not know his name or anything about him. I met him in passing, and will never see him again. There is something in the air, and little bits and pieces of it come out at shows like this. I managed a score of some .380 auto at a decent price (200 rounds for $50 - the cheapest at the whole show), which has been very hard to find lately. Other than that most everything at the show was more expensive than ever. |
